Puppy Socials

We offer one hour puppy socials and skill development sessions at Med Center Health Adult Day Center every Friday from 4-5 pm (exceptions apply).

About The Location

The Adult Day Center presents the perfect setting to host our puppy socials as there is no other dog traffic, minimizing the risk of your puppy’s exposure to germs. Additionally, the center offers an enthusiastic audience of day center attendees that will provide your puppy with socialization opportunities and presents a variety of novel stimuli including medical devices, novel noises, automatic doors, and more.

About The Sessions

Each one hour session is guided by our certified dog trainers. Sessions are dynamic with a focus on building positive associations for each puppy that attends.

We begin each session with guided puppy-puppy socialization opportunities and interactions with day center attendees. Afterward, we introduce the selected puppy skill for that session. Skill focus varies each session and may include problem solving activities, name response, settling, grooming behavior, exam behavior, recall introduction, leash walking introduction, targeting, sit, and down.

Attendance Rules

Puppies from 6-14 weeks of age are eligible to participate.

Puppies must have at least one distemper/parvo vaccination to begin attendance and will be required to adhere to their veterinarian’s recommended vaccination schedule. Owners must provide proof of vaccination, with absolutely no exceptions for the safety of other participating puppies.

First time attendees are required to complete our Puppy Social Owner Agreement.

Puppies will receive a wellness check upon arrival. Puppies will be dismissed if they are dirty (covered in physical dirt/mud or covered in urine/feces), have stitches, or show symptoms of injury or illness (including but not limited to coughing, eye discharge, nasal discharge, ear mites, fleas, ticks, diarrhea, vomiting, lethargy, limping, open wounds, etc.).

Sessions are $25 +tax each. We strongly encourage puppies to attend weekly as long as they are within the age window, or attend a minimum of 6 sessions to receive adequate socialization benefits.

We accept 6 puppies in each session, so last-minute bookings may not be available. Puppies enrolled in our Ultimate Puppy Program can attend all sessions for free!

Sessions are announced on a monthly basis. We host every Friday from 4-5 pm, with exceptions for major holidays, conflicting day center events, and lack of trainer availability.
